Our Leadership Team

Dave Mackenzie
President & Founder

Dave is a certified fiber optic journeyman and splicer with thirty years experience in the Canadian communications industry. He founded Litewave in 2000 with one employee and within the first year of operation, saw it grow to 10 employees due to his strong leadership and extensive knowledge of fiber optics, legacy systems and customer service excellence. The company is now one of Canada’s largest fiber optic providers with over 60 technicians working on projects across North America.

Gerard Cocks
General Manager

Gerard joined Litewave in 2005 as a journeyman copper splicer in the Edmonton office. Over the years he has taken on additional responsibilities, helping the company grow to its current level.  Today, as General Manager, Gerard presides over all aspects of Litewave, from the establishment and execution of the company’s strategic vision to the development of meaningful industry-wide relationships with clients, sub-contractors and other industry professionals.  He is responsible for day-to-day operations and the development of competitive tenders. Gerard is an avid tournament bass fisherman with many successes in the sport!

Steve Jordan
Project Manager

Steve is an exceptionally talented fiber optic splicer journeyman.  He has worked on linear data circuit and infrastructure builds across Canada from Victoria (BC) to Edmonton (AB), Calgary (AB) and Sydney (NS). His success in managing difficult projects led to his promotion as project manager in 2012. As an integral member of the Litewave team, Steve helps trouble-shoot, assemble and manage teams across North America.   During his free time Steve enjoys playing guitar, fishing and engaging in outdoor activities.

Dave Dillane
OSP Manager

With over a dozen years’ experience working for some of Ontario’s leading telcos, Dave is well-versed in the intricacies of fiber optic cabling, splicing, project management and integrating legacy systems with newer fiber optic builds. A strong leader, Dave heads up many of Litewave’s most important large-scale projects. Dave loves travelling and learning about new cultures. In his spare time, he is an avid wood-worker.

Linda Walker
Office Manager

As Office Manager, Linda overseas all administrative tasks and provides support to the leadership team.  She is also the company’s Safety Coordinator, handling all safety audits with Bell and Hydro and ensuring safety standards and best practices are communicated to all employees.  She is Litewave’s longest employee, having started with the company over 15 years ago. Linda enjoys golfing, softball and hiking outdoors with her dog.

Zac Ross
MDU Splicing Manager

Zach has over ten years’ experience working on new build fiber optic and legacy copper wire networks. He is a skilled technician with strong background knowledge of the Bell networks.  Zach has a 4-year old daughter and spends his free time building and racing cars.
